Visiting Monks Information Form

** Please get approval from Chief Monk if you wish to extend your stay.

RULES TO BE FOLLOWED BY ALL MEMBERS OF THE SANGHA RESIDING AT BUDDHIST MAHA VIHARA (BMV)

1. Monastic Rules must be observed at all times.
2. Visiting Monks are required to fill in the "Visiting Monks Information form".
3. All Monks are responsible for their own personal items (money, passport, etc).
4. Monks are required to be in the room when the workers are cleaning it. Please maintain the cleanliness of the room.
5. Please lock your room, when you are not in the room. Room keys must be returned to the Resident Monk in charge when you leave the temple.
6. Visiting Monks are required to perform all religious duties assigned by the temple’s Chief Monk or Resident monks.
7. Visiting Monks are required to consult the Resident monks, if there are direct requests from the devotees in the temple.
8. Visiting monks must inform Chief Monk or Resident monks, if you are invited to perform religious duties outside the temple.
9. Visiting Monks must inform the Resident monk in charge, if you wish to go out of the temple. Please return before temple gates close.
10. Devotees, friends or relatives are not allowed to enter Monks’ rooms without prior permission from Chief Monk.
11. All Monks have to observe the following :
5:30 am :Cleaning temple grounds
6:30 am :Morning Puja
7:30 am :Breakfast (Hil Dana)
11:30 am :Buddha Puja & Lunch Dana
7:30 pm :Evening Puja
10:30 pm :BMV Gates Close
